About The AI Finishing School
The AI Finishing School exists to help close one of the biggest gaps emerging in modern education and work: the gap between what people have already learnt and what the world now expects of them in the age of AI.
Founded by Patrick Carmody, The AI Finishing School is shaped by more than 25 years of experience across leadership roles in digital businesses and academia. Over the course of his career, Patrick has worked at the intersection of strategy, technology, communication, and practical workplace readiness. As AI has rapidly reshaped how people learn, work, create, research, and solve problems, he recognised a growing need for a more applied kind of education, one that helps people move from theory to confidence, and from awareness to real capability.
Traditional schooling and university pathways still matter, but they often cannot evolve fast enough to match the pace of change in AI. New tools, workflows, and expectations are emerging all the time. The result is that many students, graduates, and working professionals can feel underprepared, even when they are bright, capable, and well educated. The challenge is not a lack of potential. It is the speed of change.

Patrick Carmody
Lead Programme Facilitator
Patrick Carmody is the CEO of Pursuit AI Lab and Lead Facilitator at The AI Finishing School. He previously led the Brand Strategy faculty at Vega (a school of Emeris), bringing deep experience in teaching strategic thinking, modern brand building, and real-world commercial application.
Alongside his academic leadership, he has also led AI transformation programmes at leading digital companies, helping teams and businesses adapt to the fast-changing practical realities of AI.
His work sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and workplace readiness — with a strong focus on making AI useful, understandable, and actionable for the next generation.
